The Owen Sound Aquatic Club, and the Breakers Swim Team of Port Elgin have joined
to form a swim league. While the two clubs compete against each other at meets
out-of-town, this is the first time the teams have organized a local competitive league.
It provides a great chance for local swimmer of all ages and abilities to enjoy
the sport of competitive swimming without the need to travel outside of the Grey-Bruce area.
The series will run over six months with a total of 3 meets being held. The Owen
Sound Aquatic Club is the defending champion, but they will face a strong challenge
from the host Breakers Swim Team. The Grey-Bruce Swim League is sponsored by
Ontario Power Generation (OPG). The leadership shown by OPG in sponsoring meets
in this series will be rewarded with great sportsmanship and effort on the part of the swimmers.
This year the meets will be held on:
All Mini-Meets are on Thursday Evenings.
Mini Meet #1 Date: November 8/2007
Hy-Tek package will be posted in the meets section of the BST site when ready.
